About me 

         Andre Ariel Lara Sanchez was born in Tijuana, Mexico, and grew up first in the San Francisco area and then in San Bernardino, California. As a bilingual learner, Ariel faced unique challenges adapting to the American educational system. However, they overcame these obstacles with the support of mentors and achieved academic success. Ariel started their educational journey at San Bernardino Valley College, where they pursued a diverse range of disciplines. They earned an Associate of Arts in Biological and Physical Sciences, an Associate of Arts in Psychology, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration. This foundation laid the groundwork for Ariel's future academic and professional endeavors. Building upon their community college achievements, Ariel furthered their education at the University of California, Riverside, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Concentration in Finance. This academic achievement empowered Ariel with a robust understanding of economic principles and financial management.

         Ariel's professional experience includes roles in finance management, notably as a manager at McDonald's, where they honed their financial acumen. Ariel has also contributed to their community by assisting students with personal finance matters. As a Specialized Success Coach, Ariel provided invaluable guidance on interpreting financial aid correspondence, setting achievable financial objectives, and preparing for upcoming financial milestones. Motivated by a desire to empower marginalized communities, Ariel, as a DACA-mented economist, joined the Building Wealth Initiative. This initiative serves as a platform for Ariel to leverage their expertise and experience to support underserved individuals within their community. Ariel is dedicated to fostering economic empowerment and financial literacy among those who have been historically disadvantaged.
